Scott Logan, AKA Second Hand Scott, specialises in picking up girls who have just been dumped, jilted or otherwise broken-hearted. But he isn’t your stereotypical romantic cad and bounder. No; he actually thinks he’s being helpful. But one day, Scott is forced to choose between his continued second hand existence and the possibility of true love.

About this book

Scott Logan, better known as Second Hand Scott, specialises in picking up girls who have just been dumped, jilted or otherwise broken-hearted. But he isn’t your stereotypical romantic cad and bounder; swooping in to take advantage of vulnerable girls - whether they be a saucy old aged pensioner or a middle aged divorcee with an irritating personality. No; he actually thinks he’s being helpful.
But when Scott meets a nice girl, a girl who seems to like him for who he is rather than what he can provide, Scott is forced to confront his attitude, his past, his parents and the spectre of Sally Paxton; his first girlfriend – now deceased.
Scott needs to decide whether he will forever be Second Hand Scott or whether he might, for once in his life, follow his heart.

G.A. Milnthorpe

Gavin Milnthorpe is a commercial lawyer by day, and a writer of fictional nonsense by night. Second Hand Scott is his second novel. He has had some (small) success in writing for the stage. He can also be found trying his hand at stand-up comedy in and around East Anglia which, as his audiences will attest, is no laughing matter. He is married (punching above his weight) and is the father to two small (wonderful) children.
